Introducing the E-NERGY Cluster
Introducing the E-NERGY Cluster
Five Horizon Europe projects — DIGITISE, DECODIT, ENERGENIUS, EU-DREAM and CELINE — have joined forces to create the E-NERGY Cluster. This collaboration aims to empower consumers in the energy sector by using digital technologies to make energy information more accessible and engaging. By working together, the projects seek to break down barriers, fostering greater public participation in the energy transition.
The name E-NERGY reflects the cluster’s mission, blending “energy” with the simplicity of e-mails. Just as e-mails revolutionised communication, E-NERGY strives to make energy data seamless and easy to access. This initiative is designed to democratise energy information, enabling individuals and communities to make informed choices and actively contribute to a more sustainable future.
Through this partnership, E-NERGY will share innovative tools and systems that place consumers at the centre of the energy transition. By making the process inclusive and intuitive, the cluster sets a foundation for a digitally empowered energy sector where everyone has the opportunity to participate.
Participating Projects

EU-DREAM aims to develop next-generation energy services, solutions, and products that benefit consumers, using an AI-based assistant to optimize settings based on individual, and an NLP intermediary will facilitate seamless, communication in everyday language.

ENERGENIUS captures cross-sectoral data from 9 diverse domains – spanning energy, health, real estate, social media, and more – focusing on information that truly matters to citizens. Through the power of AI, this project harmonizes vast data streams to deliver personalized insights and practical tools via the ENERGENIUS Suite. This comprehensive one-stop-shop empowers communities with digital tools, while an engaging serious game interface sustains citizen feedback and active involvement.

The DIGITISE project aims to enhance digital literacy and empower consumers and consumers in the energy sector. This ambitious initiative aspires to enable active engagement in digital energy activities and markets, promoting a pivotal role for consumers and prosumers in the ongoing energy transition.

DECODIT project aims to develop digital tools to support citizens in making informed decisions for a sustainable energy future. Specifically, DECODIT will offer personalised options through data-driven services. Natural language interfaces ensure accessibility, while innovative financing models lower barriers for investment.

The CELINE project (Cross-sectorial integrated digital services Enabling energy Localized InnovatioN and community Empowerment) aims to transform the energy sector through digital innovation and citizen participation. The project is dedicated to democratizing the energy sector through digitalization and empowering communities across Europe, fostering the development of Energy Communities and enabling a more accessible and resilient energy system. At the core of CELINE is the Digital Toolbox, designed for households, energy communities, and cooperative groups to optimize energy management and empower consumers.
